The Importance of Phonics
In April 2011, the Government announced match-funding for systematic synthetic phonics products and training of up to £3,000. This funding is now available for all schools in England with Key Stage 1 pupils.
A catalogue of products, resources and training to support the DfE and Pro5’s commitment to raising literacy standards has been produced. This was achieved by conducting an EU compliant tendering process utilising the expertise of the DfE to evaluate products, resources and training against laid down criteria. The catalogue will provide you with all of the information required by schools to take advantage of this imitative.
